বিজ্ঞান চর্চা ও অনুশীলনের সুযোগ সৃষ্টির মাধ্যমে মাধ্যমিক প্রতিষ্ঠানে শিক্ষার্থীদের বিজ্ঞান ভীতি দূর করে বিজ্ঞান শিক্ষায় আগ্রহ সৃষ্টি করা এবং বিভাগে শিক্ষার্থীর সংখ্যা ক্রমন্বয়ে বৃদ্ধি করা।

Sericulture reviving activities: Sericulture is one of the most important heritages of Bangladesh, and Rajshahi district was famous on silk, however, to revive sericulture SACHETAN strives the effort as one of the major targets of the project. Through these activities some mulberry farmers turn to their old profession (mulberry cultivation). Aiming at reviving the sericulture in the area, during the period 159 groups consisted of 3,558 (Female-3144 & male-414) mulberry growers planted: 1,30,000 mulberry plants in Nimapara, Monigram, Pakuria and Vialokkhipur in Charghat & Bagha Upazilas. It has yet been possible to bring Nimapara, Monigram, Pakuria and Vialokkhipur in Charghat & Bagha Upazilas mulberry farmers of Nimpara village and Monigram and Pakuria villages in Bagha upazila to the activities. In 2012 total 1,000 mulberry rearers are goiven cocoon rearing trining and material support on mulberry plantation and cocoon rearing. SACHETAN distributed 1, 30,000 mulberry plants among the farmers, on the other hang SACHETAN has provided necessary assistance to develop 5 mulberry gardens in the reporting period. SACHETAN distributed 4800 DFL(disease free lance) received by 147 polu farmers in the working areas. Necessarily most of the cocoon reares are linked with Mirganj Sericulture Board where they can collect the materials of mulberry cultivation. Federation Building: Strong federation building is one of the major programs of Sachetan, which aims to fostering poor’s access to government and non-government services improving their lobbing and advocacy. They have built groups, apex body namely, Federation primarily at union level. Through federation the organization wants to hand over more responsibilities to them, it also improves the leadership qualities and their democratic practices significantly increased by this time. The federation has become a platform of building capacity and volunteerisms and working as pressure group enacted as shelter of poor groups, which enabling the capacity to protect its members against abject poverty, exploitation in power practices or any kind of anti-social activities by the social evils and vested interest group. Such 10 federations exist in the working areas with 430 primary groups including 192 female groups as associates or the partner of the federation
